KH2PO4 .......................0.5 g
MgSO4 ........................0.5 g
KCl..........................0.1 g
Ca(NO3)2 ....................12.5 mg
FeSO4 . 7H2O .................0.01 mg
Agar (if needed)............15.0 g
Distilled water..............1.0 L
For liquid medium: Adjust the pH to 3.5 with H2SO4.
Sterilize the glucose solution and the basal 9-K solution separately; combine aseptically.
For solid medium: Adjust the pH of the basal medium to 4.5 with H2SO4.
Prepare and autoclave the basal medium and the agar as separate solutions. Combine the solutions at about 55C.
