Genbank accession numbers:
complete genome: LN885086
BioSample: SAMEA3560316
BioProject: PRJEB10818
Cultivation conditions:
Medium 1690 , 42°C
Medium/media recipe(s) required for preparing 1690:
- Medium 320
- Medium 385
Does not tolerate shaking. Growth takes place without visible increase in turbidity, hence proliferation of cells has to be checked using phase contrast microscopy. Nitrite/Nitrate production is a reliable indication of growth and can be checked with Griess-Ilosvay's reagent. However, it is more accurate to measure consumption of ammonium using the OPA reagent as described by Holmes et al. 1999 (26775). Based on the slow growth and low cell number the production and delivery might take more than 2 months.
Incubation time: more than 14 days
