Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: RPMI 1640 medium with 1 mM sodium pyruvate and 2 mM L-glutamine, 85%; fetal bovine serum, 15%
Atmosphere: air, 95%; carbon dioxide (CO2), 5%
Temperature: 37.0°C
Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10(5) cells/ml and maintain between 2 X 10(5) and 1 X 10(6) cells/ml.

Preservation: Freeze medium: culture medium, 95%; DMSO, 5%
