The antibody reacts precipitates a 150000/90000 dalton CD11/CD18 heterodimer (see also ATCC HB-225 ) from murine leukocytes.
2E6 blocks the binding function of LFA-1 (CD11a) and CR3/Mac-1 (CD11b).
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, Catalog No. 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium:
Temperature: 37.0°C
Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml.Maintain cell density between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml.
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Preservation: Freeze medium: Complete growth medium, 95%; DMSO, 5%
Storage temperature: liquid nitrogen vapor temperature
