Comments:Animals were immunized with a membrane enriched extract of human foreskin keratinocytes.
Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 myeloma cells.
The antibody reacts with an epithelial specific antigen on human foreskin keratinocytes but does not react with mesodermal cells or lymphocytes.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: RPMI 1640 medium, 85%; fetal bovine serum, 15%
Subculturing: Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 1 X 10(5) cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10(5) and 1 X 10(6) cells/ml.
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
