Comments:Animals were immunized with recombinant human luteinizing hormone/human chorionic gonadotropin (LH/hCG) receptor expressed in E. coli.
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0 mouse myeloma cells.
The antibody recognizes the extracellular domain (hormone binding domain) of the LH/hCG receptor, (amino acids domain 21-362).
The LHR-29 (ATCC CRL-2685 ), LHR-74 (ATCC CRL-2686 ) and LHR-1055 (ATCC CRL-2687 ) antibodies are additive. They recognize different epitopes.
The antibodies can be used in Western Blot, ELISA, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry assays of the human LH/hCG receptor.
Propagation: ATCC complete growth medium: Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 4 mM L-glutamine adjusted to contain 1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate and 4.5 g/L glucose, 90%; heat-inactivated horse serum, 10%
Temperature: 37.0°C
Subculturing: Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml.
Maintain cell density between 2 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml.
Preservation: culture medium 95%; DMSO, 5%
