支原體本身在自然界分布是非常廣的，有很多動(dòng)物、植物和昆蟲都攜帶支原體。人感染了之后，人本身也是具有傳染性的，也可以傳給其他的人?，F(xiàn)在引起人發(fā)病的支原體有六種，有肺炎支原體、人型支原體、生殖道支原體、隱匿支原體、發(fā)酵支原體和解脲支原體。
肺炎支原體和發(fā)酵支原體主要引起人的上呼吸道或者下呼吸道感染，主要引起咽炎、氣管炎、支氣管炎或者肺炎，傳播的途徑主要通過呼吸道的飛沫傳播，發(fā)酵支原體主要通過唾液來傳播。其他的支原體主要引起的是泌尿生殖道的感染，傳播的途徑主要是性傳播，也可以理解為由這些病原引起的泌尿生殖道的感染是一種性病，主要表現(xiàn)為尿道炎、附睪炎或者子宮炎、盆腔炎、卵巢炎，這一類的炎癥主要通過性接觸傳播。PG18 發(fā)酵支原體
