L-cysteine . HCl.........................0.5 g
Yeast extract............................3.0 g
Horse serum (filter-sterilized)........100.0 ml
Tomato Decoction (see below)............50.0 ml
Distilled water........................850.0 ml
Adjust pH to 7.2-7.4. Combine all ingredients except horse serum and
tomato decoction, and autoclave at 121C for 15 minutes. Aseptically add
horse serum and tomato decoction.
Tomato Decoction:
Boil equal parts (w/w) of fresh minced tomatoes and tap water for 10
minutes and filter through paper. Autoclave at 121C for 15 minutes.
