Adjust basal medium to pH 7.0 with KOH. Prepare and sterilize basal
medium using anaerobic techniques under 100% CO2. Add fatty acids to
sterile autoclaved medium as individual autoclaved solutions adjusted to
pH 7.0. Add bicarbonate and glucose solutions aseptically to cooled
sterile medium. Final pH of completed medium is pH 6.9.
