Comments : Rabbits, guinea pigs, and white rats develop inapparent infections; in monkeys the virus elicits a febrile illness of variable severity and is occasionally associated with paralysis. This strain is indistinguishable antigenically from agents designated Columbia-SK, MM, and Mengo viruses. Infectious by i.c. and peripheral routes. Mouse brain tissue constitutes a suitable source of virus for neutralization and CF tests. It is labile at low pH. -70C or lower
