Effect : Yes, in vitro effects: produces foci of round cells on Mink S+L- cells MiCl1(ATCCCCL-64.1), and plaque like foci on feline S+L- cell line :PG-4 ( ATCCCRL-2032)
Comments : This virus is maintained in persistently infected Mink lung cells which were originally transfected with molecularly cloned virus. Typical murine type C retrovirus. Although derived from endogenous sequences of inbred mice, it does not exogenously infect mouse cells, except certain cells of wild mouse origin such as M. dunni cells (ATCCCRL-2017). xenotropic
