Handling procedure
Open thawed vial according to enclosed instructions or visit www.atcc.org for instructions.
Aseptically transfer the entire contents to a 5-6 mL tube of #2959 broth. Additional test tubes can be inoculated by transferring 0.5 mL of the primary broth tube to these secondary broth tubes.
Use several drops of the primary broth tube to inoculate a #2959 plate and/or #2959 agar slant.
Incubate at 35°C for 18-24 hours in an atmosphere of 5% CO2.
Handling notes
This strain grows very quickly and dies very rapidly once the medium has turned from yellow to red.
ATCC Medium #2616 can be used as an alternative medium.
